Why new moms need agility training, even if they're not athletes!

If you want to be able to…

  • React to quick changes (like a toddler making a run for it or taking a wrong step at the playground)

  • Balance with ease (carry a kid in 1 arm and groceries in the other)

  • Prevent injuries (Your kid barreling into you or jumping on your back won’t knock you down)

  • Develop new skills (so you can suddenly outmaneuver your toddler)

  • And just feel stronger overall…

It’s time to start adding agility into your exercise routine!

After returning to dance after a 20 year hiatus, I quickly learned that agility is not like riding a bike. Let me tell you, it does NOT just come back to you after a long break.

I’m not as quick or light with my feet as I was when I was a kid, and while I consider myself to be good at getting up and down on the floor, in dance I have to do it quickly, jazzily, and often multiple times over a few 8 counts.

Now if you have little kids...

You’re probably getting up and down quickly, carrying, lifting, running and jumping all day long. (Though you probably aren’t expected to be jazzy about it but I could be wrong). This is where agility comes in!

A little bit goes a long way, and it’s actually a super fun thing to train, and something you can feel improving pretty quickly with consistent practice.

(Plus, an apocalypse is starting to feel more and more likely these days, and it never hurts to be prepared. 😜)
