Do I need to worry about perfect posture during pregnancy and postpartum?

There’s no such thing as perfect posture, but…
There’s ‘standing around’ posture and then there’s training posture. Or I like to look at it as relaxed posture and supported posture.
It’s ok to spend time in your relaxed posture, because our bodies are meant experience all kinds of different positions.
🔑But when it comes to loading our bodies and lifting things like barbells or even babies, finding your supportive posture can help manage and prevent pain, improve strength and build resilience in your body.
There’s no perfect posture, but there are ways of holding your body so that you can feel more supported and move more efficiently when you need to (like when you’re working out or carrying around a little one). 👩🏻🍼
One thing I always teach my clients to help them find that supported posture during pregnancy and postpartum is to ‘stack their posture’.
Here are a couple of my fav stacking cues:
➡️ Stack your ribs over your hips
➡️ Grow your spine tall
➡️ Pull your belly button up toward your ribs
➡️ Centre your weight in your mid foot
Give these a try and let me know if you can feel the difference!
